For every night booked at Haus 43, we donate one euro to the project: "Savings communities enable women to make efficient cookers | turn to zero". The cookers use 40-50 per cent less firewood and are made using locally available materials and by local craftspeople. Households thus save money and time for the procurement of firewood. In addition, the better and more efficient combustion process can significantly improve the air quality inside households, which benefits women and children in particular, as respiratory diseases can be reduced. We are doing this in cooperation with the non-profit foundation myclimate and turn to zero, a brand of illwerke vkw.
